Innovative VDO MultiViu Flex Information Display Creates High Performance Dash
4 and 7 in. screens offer touch control; CAN, analog and camera inputs
Allentown, PA (November 2015) - Continental Commercial Vehicles & Aftermarket offers its VDO MultiViuâ„¢ Flex Information Displays for creative multi-purpose dashboard applications on a variety of customized vehicles. Continental is the manufacturer and supplier of VDO OE-engineered instrumentation and replacement parts for the custom truck and car enthusiast market.
These innovative and easy to use CAN-based information displays offer a wide range of options and models to suit individual design or customization needs. They are available in a choice of 4 in. and 7 in. displays, along with eight variations that include touch screen or key and rotary functions and choice of landscape or portrait layouts. The displays are easy to program and can be reprogrammed with a USB stick. MultiViu Flex also offers up to four analog or digital inputs along with video input. VDO MultiViu Flex also offers an internal buzzer and light sensor with up to 1 GB of RAM storage. It also features a video interface as well as the compatibility to display camera systems on screen.
At the heart of each MultiViu Flex is a fast and efficient 32-bit processor running a Linux OS for long-term reliability and features a J1939/CAN Freestyle protocol. The displays are extremely robust and versatile, offering IP67/ IP65 water protection and 5G vibration resistance. MultiViu Flex draws zero current while in shutdown/sleep mode.
