Rollover Sensor

Due to improvements in vehicle design and handling, it has become more rare for vehicles to overturn. When it does happen, though, the consequences can be fatal. We are currently working on a third-generation solution to minimize these dangers. The rollover sensor continuously monitors the angle of the vehicle and its lateral and vertical acceleration, allowing activation of the corresponding restraint systems, such as the belt pretensioners and head and side airbags, if the vehicle overturns. This allows the kind of timely response that is crucial.

Thanks to its compact, modular design, the rollover sensor can easily be integrated into the Airbag Control Unit.
