Active Body Control (ABC)
With Active Body Control (ABC) the suspension system actively adapts to roadway and driving conditions within milliseconds. This means the chassis is always perfectly set for the respective driving situation and has optimum wheel grip. Added loads are compensated for by the system and fuel consumption can be reduced. The basis for optimizing the chassis settings is highspeed signal processing at up to 56 MIPS. The corresponding response time for the regulation cycle of the suspension system is thus less than one millisecond. Active Body Control takes over valve control, the scanning of 13 sensor units such as height, acceleration, pressure, etc. and also integrates further external sensors.
